This banjo was made in a small shop run by a husband/wife team with an apprentice. Everything was built in house, and any inlays or carving was done by hand. This banjo is actually a prototype, one of only three that were ever made. This is the only model made with curly maple, as the builder settled on walnut in the end. It was made in 1978 in Oklahoma City.
This banjo was owned by a total pro. Sounds great, plays great, and is definitely a unique instrument to be had.
